Digestive Disease Consultants is a busy gastroenterology practice located in Altamonte Springs with satellite offices in Lake Mary and Oviedo. We are seeking dynamic, organized, and professional individuals to join our team.

Position Requirements:

Customer service/phone operator 1-year experience; preferably in a medical clinic setting.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to answer high call volume.
Multitask with accuracy and communicate clearly.
Maintain HIPAA guidelines and business practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls and route them accordingly.
Schedule, cancel and reschedule new and established patient appointments.
Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
Input new and updated patient information into the EMR.
Assist with faxes and forwarding documentation to the appropriate person.
Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time.
Ability to converse and hear over the phone and in person in a professional manner.

Work Conditions:

Work is performed in an office work environment.
Very limited physical effort is required.
Limited exposure to physical risk.
